For Christmastime, we have wonderful cinnamon stars recepy. Simply knead the following ingredients together in a bowl or with a hand mixer.
1 kg ground almonds
700 g sugar
200 g egg whites, i.e. the whites of approx. 7 eggs.
200 g icing sugar
20 g cinnamon
Mix or knead everything. Leave the dough in the fridge for about 5 hours. Then roll out to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut out with a star shape and place on a tray with baking paper. Do not cover and leave at room temperature for one day. Then bake at approx. 190 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes with circulating air.
For the Christmas season, I recommend a homemade mulled wine. This can be made with white wine or red wine. And it's done like this: Heat the wine, add the cinnamon stalks, lemon and orange slices and leave to infuse for two hours if possible. Then dilute with a little hot water in a ratio of 5 to 1 and add a little sugar if necessary and the mulled wine is ready to drink. This can also be reheated at any time.
